TOURNAMENT DETAILS
• 7-on-7 and 8-on-8 games on 35x55 yard fields.
• Full-size goals allow for plenty of scoring opportunities for all ages!
• A minimum of three 30 minute games (or the equivalent) are guaranteed. Games will be played within a three-hour timeblock. Time
locks will be in the morning, afternoon and early evening.
• Teams will have the opportunity to play on the turf of Belson Stadium, one of the premier venues in collegiate soccer.
• USYSA, U.S. Club Soccer and AYSO passes accepted.
• Teams with U.S. Club Soccer or Y League passes do not require Permission to Travel.
• St. John’s University is conveniently located near major highways.
ST. JOHN’S SOCCER BELSON STADIUM
Belson Stadium has been the home of Red Storm soccer for the past five seasons. The 2,300 seat facility features a unique, state-of-the-art design that allows all fans to be close to the action. Made possible by the generous donations of Maxine and Jerome Belson and built in 2002, the stadium has created a significant home-field advantage for the St. John’s men’s and women’s soccer programs. Over the course of six seasons on the stadium’s turf, St. John’s has excelled in the BIG EAST Conference and in postseason play. The Red Storm has played nine BIG EAST and NCAA Tournament contests at Belson Stadium, as part of the program’s stellar run of success. Head coach Dr. Dave Masur and the men’s soccer team have reached unparalleled heights in collegiate soccer. Masur has twice been named National Coach of the Year over that span, including in 1996 when he led St. John’s to an NCAA Championship. PRESEASON TOURNAMENT
Three Games Guaranteed
The Dave Masur Preseason Tournament will feature a minimum of three 35 minute games per team, with a final number to be determined based on the number of teams entering the tournament. All tournament games will be coordinated to finish in a three-hour time frame.
Play at St. John’s Belson Stadium
Each team will play on Belson Stadium, the home of the Red Storm men’s and women’s soccer programs. Fields will be 35 yards wide and 55 yards long and set up for 7-on-7 games.
Cost and Team Information
Teams can register for the tournament and clinic at a price of $275 per team and a maximum of 14 players per roster. Age groups will be U-7, U-8, U-9, U-10, U-11, U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-17 with the merging of age groups possible based on the number of entering teams.
